Inspector Jennifer Partington

I’m Jenny Partington, Inspector, covering Middleton, Heywood, Balderstone, Kirkholt and Castleton.

I’ve worked for GMP for 16 years covering various areas and in a variety of roles. I’ve been working in neighbourhood policing for the last 2 years and am passionate about making our community safer and reducing crime.

I have a degree in Law and Criminology and have dedicated my service to front line policing. I feel that my neighbourhood teams can really target the issues and offenders that are causing the community the most harm.

I understand that the issues in our areas that concern you the most are speeding and anti-sociable driving, drug dealing and anti-social behaviour.

My officers and staff are dedicated to tackling these issues that are affecting you the most and strive to reduce crime and create a safer area for people to live and work. Via a proactive and problem-solving approach they aim to target those that are making our communities unsafe.

We want to know of any emerging issues or anyone that is causing problems in the communities we serve. We want to listen to your concerns and take appropriate action where required. We are regularly organising traffic and plain clothes operations in hot spot crime areas as well as conducting drug warrants based on intelligence you have submitted combined with intelligence that we have gathered.

We continue to work with the public, community groups and our partner agencies to deliver the best service to the community, to prevent and reduce crime and help solve reoccurring issues.

On these pages you can find the priorities in our area that we continue to work on. We will update these priorities with the action we have taken to remedy them.

We can’t do this without you, so we have launched an alert system called Bee in the loop which will enable us to contact you directly about these priorities. It will also enable you to speak to officers on the ground, where you live, so you can tell us what matters most to you.
